SCI_ART réunit des artistes, des scientifiques et des spécialistes autour d’un programme de deux jours composé de tables rondes, de conférences d’artistes et de performances visant à offrir une diversité de points de vue et d’approches pour comprendre la collaboration entre l’art et la science. Le symposium se penchera également sur les nouvelles formes d’art et les avancées technologiques découlant d’un rapprochement entre la recherche scientifique et la pratique artistique. Plusieurs des artistes et des penseur.se.s invité.e.s au symposium abordent certains des enjeux les plus chauds de notre époque, allant de la dégradation environnementale aux défis sociaux, ouvrant la voie à de nouvelles manières de penser et de voir le monde qui nous entoure.

ART, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM
April 6-7 2024, Ottawa, Canada
SCI_ART brings together artists, scientists and academics for a two-day program of panel discussions, artist talks and performances to present an array of diverse viewpoints and approaches to understanding artistic and scientific collaboration. The symposium will also examine new art forms and technological advances that arise from bringing together scientific research and artistic practice. Many of the invited artists and thinkers in the symposium address some of the most challenging issues of our time, from environmental degradation to social challenges, opening up new ways of thinking and seeing the world around us.
